The Montville Probate District was constituted on June 27, 1851 from the New London Probate District. The Montville Probate District merged with the East Lyme, Old Lyme, and Salem Probate Districts on January 5, 2011 to create the Region #32 Probate District which serves the municipalities of East Lyme, Montville, Old Lyme, and Salem.

The Litchfield Probate District, constituted October 1742 from the Woodbury Probate District, has processed probate matters for the Town of Morris from its incorporation. The Litchfield Probate District merged with the Harwinton, Northwest Corner, and Thomaston Probate Districts on January 5, 2011, to create the Litchfield Hills Probate District, which currently serves the municipalities of Canaan, Cornwall, Harwinton, Kent, Litchfield, Morris, Norfolk, North Canaan, Salisbury, Sharon, Thomaston, and Warren.

The Berlin Probate District presently serves the municipalities of Berlin and New Britain. Though the district is named after Berlin, it currently sits in New Britain.
