We maintain and provide access to a comprehensive collection of state and federal legal publications. Law & Legislative Reference Services also serves as the permanent home of Connecticut General Assembly official transcripts and legislative bill files. Our reference staff assists members of the public, students, state employees, attorneys, and others in their legal and legislative research. We provide reference services in-person, over the phone, and via chat or email.
The Connecticut State Library holds a print copy of all published Supreme, Appellate and Superior Court decisions.
Our patrons also have access to Westlaw and Fastcase to conduct caselaw research.
The Division of Library Development provides services to Connecticut public libraries. They have compiled legal information to assist public librarians with patron questions. However, this information can be helpful to any self-represented party or legal researcher.
