The Woodbury Probate District, constituted 1719, processed probate matters for the town of Bethlehem from its incorporation. The Woodbury Probate District merged with the Oxford, Roxbury, Southbury, and Washington Probate Districts on January 5, 2011 to create the Region # 22 Probate District which serves the municipalities of Bethlehem, Oxford, Roxbury, Southbury, Washington, Watertown, and Woodbury.

Bloomfield, Hartford County

Incorporated May 1835. Parent towns: Farmington, Simsbury, and Windsor.


Probate overview

The Bloomfield Probate District was constituted on January 9, 1991, from the West Hartford Probate District. The Bloomfield Probate District merged with the Suffield – East Granby Probate District and the Windsor Locks Probate District on January 5, 2011, to form the Tobacco Valley Probate District (Region # 3), which serves the municipalities of Bloomfield, East Granby, Suffield, and Windsor Locks.

The Bozrah Probate District was constituted June 3, 1843, from the Norwich Probate District. The Bozrah Probate District merged with the Griswold and Norwich Probate Districts on January 5, 2011 to create an enlarged Norwich Probate District which serves the municipalities of Bozrah, Franklin, Griswold, Lisbon, Norwich, Preston, Sprague, and Voluntown.

Bristol, Hartford County

Probate overview

The Bristol Probate District was constituted June 4, 1830, from the Farmington Probate District. On January 5, 2011 the Bristol Probate District merged with the Plainville and Plymouth Probate Districts to form the Region #19 Probate District. Plainville left to join the Farmington Probate District on January 9, 2019, and the Region #19 Probate District became the Bristol-Plymouth Probate District.
