The Glastonbury Probate District was constituted January 8, 1975, from the Hartford Probate District. The Glastonbury Probate District merged with the Hebron Probate District to create the Glastonbury – Hebron Probate District which serves the municipalities of Glastonbury and Hebron.

Probate overview

The Torrington Probate District was constituted June 16, 1847, from the Litchfield Probate District and began processing probate matters for the Town of Goshen in May 1895. The Torrington Probate District merged with the New Hartford and Winchester Probate Districts on January 5, 2011 to create the Torrington Area Probate District which serves the municipalities of Barkhamsted, Colebrook, Goshen, Hartland, New Hartford, Torrington, and Winchester.

Probate overview

The Granby Probate District was constituted May 1807 from the Simsbury Probate District. The Granby Probate District merged on January 5, 2011 with the Avon, Canton, and Simsbury Probate Districts to create the Simsbury Regional Probate District which serves the municipalities of Avon, Canton, Granby, and Simsbury.

This district also served the following municipalities at various times:

  • East Granby, June 1858 - July 3, 1865
  • Hartland, May 1807 - June 2, 1836
