Connecticut State Agency Decisions

About the Indian Affairs Council (within The Office of the Attorney General)

Starting in 1935, Chapter 48 (Public Acts) gave the State Park and Forest Commission power to oversee Connecticut's Indians tribes. Then in 1941, Public Act 41-132 transferred this role to the Commissioner of Welfare. Finally Public Act 73-660 was passed which created today's Indian Affairs Council, as part of the Department of Environmental Protection.
