deliverIT CT Monthly Volume Survey FY2022

The service delivered over 1.53 million items in FY2022.

In an effort to get a more accurate estimate of the number of items delivered, starting with July 2017 CSL asked libraries to count their incoming and outgoing items daily and report those numbers quarterly. By the last quarter of FY2022, 139 libraries submitted data (65% of libraries that receive delivery). Extrapolating to all 215 libraries and rounding off the numbers, the service delivered over 1.53 million items in FY2022 (1,536,182 items incoming and 1,516,427 items outgoing).

The chart below shows the monthly estimates of incoming volume for five years, FY2018 through FY2022.

deliverIT CT Yearly Volume Surveys 2007-2016

deliverIT CT Volume Estimates for Items Delivered

The chart above shows a yearly estimate based on a 'count week.' The count week took place during the month listed on the x-axis/bottom horizontal line.

Periodically the Connecticut State Library asks libraries receiving deliverIT CT (formerly Connecticar or Ccar) service to count items they have received during a sample week. The results of these surveys are being used to keep track of trends and to improve delivery service.

The Connecticut State Library extends a thank you to all library staff members who took the time to count and report their statistics.
