Over the years, patrons have asked us about the Connecticut law stating that a true pickle must bounce. This legend has appeared in many books and websites. Though there is no law that specifically states this, there are several statutes, regulations, and articles that address the incident of the pickles that did not bounce. Please see the resources tab for a short bibliography.
Below is an article from the August 2013 issue of The CONNector, the Connecticut State Library newsletter, that discusses this question and the research our librarians have done to solve the pickle law mystery.
