Many people are interested in the symbolism attached to old gravestones, are curious about the epitaphs, and wonder who carved the stones. Connecticut Gravestone Network
A very active group of dedicated people whose mission is "Protecting Connecticut's old burying grounds and preserving their historic significance" . They have a wealth of information on their website about the preservation and maintenance of cemeteries as well as information on early grave carvers.
