findIT CT is Connecticut's statewide library catalog. The first version of the catalog went live in May 2016. requestIT CT, the ILL service in findIT began rolling out statewide in September 2017. findIT CT and requestIT CT use FulfILLment open source software.
Networks and many standalone libraries continue to upload their holdings to the statewide catalog on a regular basis. Once a library successfully uploads their holdings for the first time, the system can then automatically load records as often as the library is able to send them. Many libraries have been sending holdings on a monthly basis to be current in findIT, which is the base catalog for the requestIT statewide interlibrary loan service.
MARC records and holdings from libraries in Bibliomation, LION, CONNcert, and SECONN have been loaded into findIT.
We are beginning to invite independent libraries that are participating in requestIT to upload their MARC records for inclusion in findIT. Libraries participating in requestIT will benefit most from an updated catalog once they resume their ILL services, so we are inviting them next. Once records for libraries participating in requestIT have been loaded into the findIT catalog, we we will invite all other networks and all remaining independent libraries that are not participating in requestIT to send us their MARC records.
Once a library sends their records to us the actual process of loading them into findIT is totally automated and requires human intervention only if there's a problem. Libraries will be able to send us their records as often as they wish, although not more frequently than monthly.
The list of libraries in findIT and the date their holdings were updated is at:
