findIT CT is Connecticut's statewide library catalog. The first version of the catalog went live in May 2016. requestIT CT, the ILL service in findIT began rolling out statwide in September 2017. findIT CT and requestIT CT use FulfILLment open source software.
findIT CT will be undergoing maintenance this coming weekend. Both findIT and requestIT will be down this Friday, September 7, 2018 starting at 9 pm and will be offline for approximately 24 hours. During this downtime, we will be working to reclaim storage space on the server. This process is more involved and time-consuming than our usual maintenance process. Apologies for any inconvenience.
Work on the findIT CT statewide library catalog (https://finditct.org) continues. More than 200 libraries (253 as of May 9, 2017) are now represented in the catalog. You can view a list of libraries whose holdings are available for searching in the catalog at https://libguides.ctstatelibrary.org/dld/finditct/librariesinfindit or by clicking the "Libraries in findIT" tab above.
We began rolling out requestIT CT, the basic Interlibrary Loan (ILL) service in findIT, in September 2017. The basic system will allow library staff members to initiate and respond to ILL requests. For more information on requestIT, visit https://libguides.ctstatelibrary.org/dld/requestitct

The next phase of development of findIT CT will be adding the holdings of all remaining libraries into the catalog. The easiest way for our development partners to accomplish this is by adding holdings by ILS vendor. The schedule below lists the dates when we will put out a call for your library’s holdings based on your library’s ILS vendor. You will have 2 weeks to submit your holdings for inclusion in the catalog.
Gail Hurley will be putting out the call to submit your library’s holding according to the schedule. Her message will contain information on the ftp process. If you’ve already submitted holdings, we ask you to send another extract since the ones you sent last November and December are now out of date. If you cannot submit your holdings during the 2 weeks, please let Gail know and we will make other accommodations.

At its completion, findIT CT will facilitate ILL for all participating libraries across the state of Connecticut. Phase 1 of findIT CT (just completed) was to build a discoverable catalog. Libraries submitted data extracts for the discoverable catalog back in the Fall of 2015. Once the overall development of findIT CT is completed, more frequent data extracts will take place.
The catalog available now serves as a snapshot from Fall of 2015 of the holdings of 4 of the library consortia in Connecticut. All other libraries will be added over the summer.
We have tried to keep the initial functionality of findIT CT straightforward. Additional functionality will be available in the future as the project develops. Some of the current screen displays and functionality are necessary as they will integrate with the live ILL version of the software.

The third phase will see the requestIT CT Interlibrary Loan (ILL) system developed and implemented. At that time, staff training workshops will be offered.
The Connecticut State Library thanks Bibliomation for partnering with us on this project, Equinox for developing the software, and participating libraries for contributing their records to the catalog.
