Service to Veterans & Military Families seeks to provide libraries with resources to support the veterans and military members in their community.

Advocacy & Assistance

The Connecticut Office of Advocacy and Assistance can help veterans as well as eligible spouses and children with researching and obtaining benefits due under the law, as well as representing veterans before the U.S. Department of Veterans' Affairs rre: claims and benefits.

The Connecticut Veterans Legal Center offers free legal services to low income veterans to overcome barriers to housing, healthcare, and other issues.  This organization is a member of CTLawHelp's pro bono network.

NEW! January 31, 2022 - Connecticut will become the second state in the country to launch a statewide Right to Counsel (RTC) program that will make attorneys available to eligible tenants at risk of eviction.
