The National Library Service for the Blind and Print Disabled (NLS) offers several online programs that are open to NLS patrons nation-wide, including CT LAB patrons. The Many Faces of BARD
The Many Faces of BARD is a monthly program for patrons that focuses on the BARD service from NLS. Each month NLS staff present about a topic related to BARD. Following the presentation, NLS staff take questions for program participants. Many Faces of BARD is held the second Thursday of every month, at 7:00 p.m. eastern time. Patron Corner Program
Patron Corner, a quarterly program, shares specific information of interest to patrons regarding an announced topic. Patron Corner is held on the second Monday of the third month of the quarter. That All May eRead
That All May eRead is a monthly program that focuses on use of the NLS braille eReader. That All May eRead is scheduled for the last Tuesday night of each month. Each session begins with a brief demonstration of a feature or use case of the NLS braille eReaders. The remainder of the programs is used to take questions from patrons about any aspect of the Zoomax or HumanWare Braille eReaders. More information can be accessed at the That All May eRead web page.
