The resources on this page can be used to discover books that are available from the Connecticut Library for Accessible Books (CT LAB) and its federal partner, National Library Service for the Blind and Print Disabled (NLS).
Library Catalog
The NLS online catalog lists books available in Talking Book (audio) and braille formats. NLS uses the prefix DB before each book's unique number to indicate Talking Books. The prefix BR is used to denote braille books.
CT LAB staff are available to assist patrons with catalog searches over the telephone, email, and in-person at the CT LAB offices.

The resources listed below are published bi-monthly or quarterly by the NLS. They list newly added books to the library's collection.
Talking Book Topics
Talking Book Topics (TBT) is published every two months. TBT lists newly added audio books and is organized by genre. TBT is available in HTML, PDF, on Talking Book cartridge, and is available on BARD. Current and back issues of Talking Books Topics are available.
Braille Book Review
Braille Book Review (BBR) is published every two months. BBR lists newly added braille books by genre. NLS publishes Braille Book Review bimonthly in braille, large print and HTML. Current and back issues of BBR are available.
International Language Quarterly
International Language Quarterly (ILQ) lists popular international language books recently added to the NLS collection. ILQ is published quarterly and is available in HTML format. Current and back issues of ILQ are available.
Magazines
