  1. Marian Anderson and the DAR-They are looking at the DAR mission and how it differs in the Northern and the Southern chapters concerning the equality issue.
  2. Tomstad Gunvald -  A double agent spy during WWII, for the Norwegian Resistance and the British SIS.  Credited with helping to sink the Bismark.    Kris
  3. Itzhak Pearlman - Triumphs over polio and a champion for Disability accessibility and music education.
  4. The tragedy of the lack of Titanic Lifeboats and the call for new safety regulations   
    1. Jenny found a bunch on the Titanic and lifeboat laws/regulations in the Serial Set. Nancy mentioned a Connecticut connection. Does anyone want to take that aspect – H&G? or should I learn about CT and Titanic?
  5. The Triumphs and Tragedies of John Lennon
  6.  Sting of the WASP's: Women Pilots in WWII-An exhibit highlighting and analyzing the triumphs made and tragedies endured by civilian women in the air force who became known as the WASPs.  Jenny has some federal resources. Do H&G folks know if there is a Connecticut connection to include? Carolyn mentioned looking into CT aspect
