Vital Records in Connecticut

CT State Archives 072, Vital Records, circa 1850-1900

According to the Finding Aid, this collection was received in the CT State Library in the 1930s. It is thought that because most documents have been arranged and abstracted the collection was intended to be a continuation of the Barbour Collection of Town Vital Records, which dates to 1850. However, it was never completed. This collection consists of certificates of birth and deaths, and marriage licenses from various towns, abstracts of vital records and other records.
