Project Name: Bridge Stories: Connecting community one person at a time

Purpose: To give Milford residents a safe space to share their stories and build new relationships while expressing their uniqueness.

Grant Funding Amount: $1,800

Key Elements:

  • Quarterly story sharing events
  • Volunteer recorders will capture the stories and photograph interviewees
  • Four stories chosen each time to highlight
  • Large posters displayed in Library
  • Posters shared on social media, library website, newspapers
  • Gathered in permanent book to be made available at the library

Target Audience: Milford residents

Community Support: Milford Public Schools, Literacy Volunteers of Southern Connecticut, Friends of the Milford Library

Use of grant funds: marketing materials, poster holders, sandwich board, digital cameras and audio recording devices
