Project Name: Propel East Hartford: Moving Forward Together

Purpose: To connect community members with each other and with resources and programs

Grant Funding Amount: $3,000

Key Elements: Annual community-building kickoff event, ongoing programs designed quarterly, services to support organizations, bi-annual community co-design sessions to keep evolving the programs and services based on community needs and desires, a kiosk at the library to highlight community resources and opportunities to connect. Thoughts for future programming include tech help for organizations (social media, websites, e-mail), informational fairs for volunteer opportunities and/or civic engagement (like boards and commissions), and programs sponsored by our partners.

Target Audience: People who are involved with nonprofit organizations as well as people who want to be involved, and don’t know how to go about getting involved.

Community Support: East Hartford Office of Family and Community Partnerships, East Hartford CONNects, East Hartford Historical Society

Use of grant funds: kiosk/display fixtures, escape room supplies, fees to hire Voices of Women of Color
