Project Name: B Involved

Purpose: B Involved will provide Baltimore County teens with after-school projects inside and outside the library to benefit community organizations.

Grant Funding Amount: $3,000

Key Elements: Kickoff event, weekly program to work on projects, end-of-year closing ceremony

Target Audience: Teens

Community Support: Meals on Wheels, Araminta Freedom Initiative, St. Vincent de Paul Baltimore, Baltimore Humane Society. Library administration will support the project with additional funding of $1,150.

Use of grant funds: $1,500 in program materials per branch

Why:

  • So teens will feel connected and respected in the community
  • For opportunities to be creative
