The Ferguson Library will offer "Locked City Escape," an escape room experience in which teams of new adults will work together to solve a series of puzzles using creativity, logic, and collaboration.
Project Name: Locked City Escape Room: Connect – Collaborate – Unlock
Purpose: Provide a fun, challenging, social, physical and immersive experience at the library for new adults.
Grant Funding Amount: $1,800
Small intimate groups of people come together in a social gaming environment to “escape” a scenario based on pop-culture themes.
A physical adventure game where teams will solve a series of puzzles using creativity, logic, and collaboration.
Target Audience: College students and young professionals
Community Support: Trap't Escape Room Adventures, Franklin Street Works, Sacred Heart University, UConn Stamford, Friends of the Ferguson Library
Use of grant funds: graphic design, room design consultant, marketing materials, locks, puzzles, and supplies
Why: New adults in Stamford want to meet people and make friends, connect with the local scene, advance their careers, find intellectual stimulation outside of work, discover entertainment in their home city, and have fun while taking on a collaborative challenge.
