The Insurance Department is responsible for regulating the insurance industry in Connecticut. The Insurance Department issues orders and bulletins as part of its regulatory activities.  Formal orders include Medicare Supplement rate rulings, cease and desist orders, and other sanctions. Bulletins inform entities affected by insurance regulations about changes in the laws, regulations, or Department policies.
